Samut Songkhram is a small Thai province on the Gulf of Thailand, southwest of Bangkok.<\/p>\n
There are many Buddhist temples in Thailand and there are a few unique and interesting ones \u2013 the Wat Bang Kung is one of them. It is actually a temple built within a huge banyan tree!<\/p>\n
Just a few steps from Wat Bang Kung lies the memorial to Bang Kung Camp, a historic naval outpost from the 1700’s.<\/p>\n
