1) Koh Chang
\nIt\u2019s also known also as \u2018Elephant Island\u2019 because of its elephant shaped headland.
\nThis is Thailand\u2019s third largest island after Phuket and Samui. It is located around
\n300 kilometers east of Bangkok in Trat Province, in the Gulf of Thailand near the
\nCambodian border. From jungle covered mountain peaks to sweeping bays, great
\nwaterfalls, stunning coral reefs, beach huts and luxury resorts, Koh Chang has plenty
\nto offer. Make sure you also visit the islands ghost ship \u2013 a mysteriously abandoned ship
\nresort that has become an Instagram favorite.<\/p>\n
2) Koh Lipe
\nThis lovely island in the Andaman Sea sits near Malaysia's border. It takes a day of
\ntravel from Bangkok to get here by flight van and boat but its well worth the effort.
\nIt\u2019s part of a National Marine Park, that\u2019s home to gorgeous snorkeling and f=dive
\nsites, lovely sandy beaches, budget and glam hotels and a happening nightlife along
\nthe islands famous walking street.<\/p>\n
3) Koh Tao
\nLocated on the east side of the Surat Thani coastline close to Koh Phangan and Koh
\nSamui this little piece of paradise is known in English as turtle island. Its famous for
\nits underwater treasures and is an unforgettable destination for divers, adventurers
\nand travelers alike. Take a day trip also to the lovely nearby island of Koh Nunguan.<\/p>\n
4) The Similans
\nThe Similan Islands is one of the best-known island groups in the Andaman
\nSea, largely because of the wonders that await beneath the clear-blue sea.The
\nislands are around 84 km northwest of Phuket. This little archipelago is one of
\nthe most interesting dive sites in the world, as well as a favorite destination for
\nyachties and boat tours.<\/p>\n
5) Krabi
\nKrabi town and province has some of the most stunning scenery in Thailand.
\nIt\u2019s beautiful white beaches stretch on for kilometers. Its home to jungles, famous
\ntemple sites and over 200 islands just of the coast including the famous Phi Phi
\nIslands. Its most famous beach is Railay which is accessible only by boat. Not
\nsurprisingly this place is also famous for its caves and rock-climbing pursuits.<\/p>\n
